Marion Kische (GDR)

Marion Kische was born on March 30, 1958 in Dresden, East Germany. During her elite career she trained at the SC Leipzig club. In 1974 I believe she served as alternate for the World Championship team. In 1975 she improved her status on the national team, placing third at the East German national championships and picking up a silver on bars and gold on the balance beam. At the 1976 Olympics in Montreal, she and her teammates placed third. Individually Marion finished 8th AA, and made two event finals: bars and floor. She finished 4th and 5th, respectively.

After retiring from gymnastics, Marion studied Psychology. She now lives in Leipzig, Germany and has four children.
